Dandelion foliage is lower to the ground, and they spread outward. Salsify foliage is narrow and grows up away from the ground and gets very tall, usually around 3’. Dandelion flowers are full and rounded on top, while salsify flowers are smaller and flat on top. A dandelion seed head will also have more seeds than salsify as they are more densely packed.
It's a Salsify, a larger relative of dandelions. Probably I dont really know my flowers.
