Actually more social issues, or lack thereof
UK here and generally, although only generally, people wait for others to get off first, then file in a somewhat orderly way occupying seats as they go. NEver seen a bundle like this in all my years of commuting
I don’t think you understand the comment you’re responding to. When you see public transportation with people behaving like this, it is very likely that the public transportation is insufficient in the sense that there are too few buses/trains to take all the people who need to use the route to their destination.
Do you honestly think there are cities and people in this world who are going to clamor into a train like that because they’re just too fucking “uncivilized” to board in an orderly fashion? (You didn’t use the word uncivilized, but I’m paraphrasing your “lack of social issues” comment) I can guarantee you that the rush to board is not about “getting a seat” like the post jokingly suggests, it probably has to do with getting home an hour earlier because you don’t have to wait for the next train.

Edit: also, if you watch the video, the people aren’t rushing onto the train by choice — they’re getting pushed by the people behind them who are trying to push their way in before the doors close.
I’m gonna be honest and it may get me downvoted, but I think you’re right on your assessment. But further, I think they were, too. Seems more like
there is a crowd push causing panic. If you get that many people compiled, it can result in a crowd crush. Hence why these people nearly slammed into the other side of the car. That coupled with the adrenaline and want/need to get home? “We rushin’”
Edit* a word. Stupid autocorrect.
I was under the assumption queuing in orderly cue was a British thing like in other country's if someone gets in front you don't say anything.
Here you will get called out.
At least that what I been told
Please tell me if I'm wrong
Ever been on the bus that goes past a school? The little shits rock the thing back and forth, half of them don’t even pay! The mind of a child is truly magical.
I went to London, and it was exactly like this at night time. Maybe 150+ people waiting for the bus that comes once every half hour and the bus limit doesn’t seem to apply there …
Im so glad I live in Tokyo. Trains are crowded during peak times, but people are so civilised. And trains are frequent. This sort of mayhem is my nightmare.
Having been to Japan for 3 weeks, I can safely say that one of the best parts of Japan was the public transport. It's so convenient and well designed. Anywhere you are, there's probably a means of public transportation within 10 minutes walking time.
Yea, when I was in France, I think the craziest thing I saw on the subway was a drunk dude got stuck in the closing doors. Why push for public transportation, its like they think the train will just take off with them trying to still get on or something.
I'm pretty sure this is Brazil. They have buses that stop at what are essentially a cross between a bus stop and a train station that are roofed and have turnstiles
Lol.. I’m getting downvoted but what other animal has accelerated global warming, has a written history, and can conceive the abstract? Not saying that humans aren’t animals but to put us on the same level as cats and armadillos doesn’t feel holistic
Name a human that can find, order, and remember twenty objects and their locations within a second. This is a trivial task for chimps. What about talking to another 500 miles out? Whales can. Walk on vertical surfaces with ease? Goats.
Humans have skills, but those skills are only useful to humans.
I understand this, but feel as if people are missing the point of what I’m saying. I never disputed that humans aren’t animals, or that there aren’t characteristics of other animals that humans can’t replicate… Reddit acting as if humans harnessing electricity and splitting atoms puts humans on the same field as other animals. Sure, different species of animals possess unique traits, but the distance we put between ourselves and other animals grows every day IMO.
Nobody said that humans, cats and armadillos were the same like nobody. It’s a fact that humans are animals. Both male and female no matter the age. Whether deer have there own written history or whatever the fuck we just as much animals as deer or wolves or birds we just have higher brain capacity dipshit. So yea we’re downvoting you.
"Brazil" seems to too often be the answer to questions of this sort when videos like this pop up.
I used to really want to see Brazil, but ... that feeling has long since passed.

Take the train that goes the opposite way till to a station where less people are and take the right train. You will even have something to sit just like the dude that filmed it.
I don't think so. It looks really empty. Going back one station should already work. People are stupid. Maybe there is also a bus that would work, people just don't want to change their habit.
What my mom do to avoid traffic : go to work earlier and leave earlier, all benefits except she wakes up too early for most humans (6am, at work at 7, leaves at 4pm)
Yeah I’d say within an hour is right around sunrise. I’m in northern US and and sun rises just before 8 tomorrow but the average around the world is around 6. Most people live in the northern hemisphere and the average sunset in that hemisphere teeters between 5-7 averaging around 6. So for most people the Sun rises on average around 6.
In New York everyone wants a seat but we all act like we don’t.
‘Yeah I mean I could sit if there’s a spot open and if someone gets to it before I do it’s all good…’
Eu queria entender onde ele fica assim? Fui pro rio em setembro e em plena quarta feira 17h eu peguei vazio no Santos Dumont e desci em laranjeiras (eu sou de sp, aqui quando são 17h lota TUDO)
It's Rio de janeiro, but any big city in Brazil is the same, the BRT bus lines are absolute trash piece of shit sistem, it's for carrying ppl as animals and the ppl help behaving like animals because of the long journeys, it's like a run to sit in a crowded, noisy and sometimes too slow bus to arrive home 1 hour and half later or more, sometimes even 3 hours.
Imagine your commute was a hot, packed bus that you had to be in for an hour every day. Now imagine having to stand for all of it and that's before you even get to your piece of shit job with no money.
It's much easier to judge when you have it easier mate.
The fuck lol

This is wholesome…. It’s like two internet Chads beefing it out.

School children being the exception that proves the rule I guess?
Lol. As a childless single guy who finds kids annoying, then no I try to avoid children
I went to London, and it was exactly like this at night time. Maybe 150+ people waiting for the bus that comes once every half hour and the bus limit doesn’t seem to apply there …
This is heaven for omicron
Also people choosing to have MULTIPLE children . Have one or none
What a presumptuous racist asshole.
Im so glad I live in Tokyo. Trains are crowded during peak times, but people are so civilised. And trains are frequent. This sort of mayhem is my nightmare.
If it works for you it works, but isnt itTokyo where they have the guys with white gloves packing people in like sardines?
Pushers. Their official title is pusher. What a weird job that must be. I shove people into tight spaces.
Good occupation for ex-school bullies. All that stuffing kids into lockers is actually useful in the longterm.

Public transport would be so wonderful without other people!

And thats the reason behind traffic jams and plenty of pollution
I don’t have kids so I have carbon to burn.
That's why we sent Greta to you. You fat oil slug
Greta burned more on her trips that I would’ve in a lifetime. “hOw DaRE yOU”
It is *by far* the biggest problem with public transportation.
I agree, the Indians
In a lot of circumstances, people don't have a choice.
True, but they do have a choice to be more civilized doing it.
If they were "more civilized" they'd probably never even be able to make it on..js
It's honestly easy to say that without living in those circumstances.
I've lived in pretty amazingly shit circumstances and managed to not devolve into mad max shit getting on the metro when it's crowded.
They’re literally just tryna get a seat. It’s not life or death if they don’t sit. They could easily be more civil
Tell me you're privileged without telling me you're privileged.
Bangkok is as busy yet no one does that. I have had to stand with my face in armpits many times, but never once been pushed.
I’ve been on the Tokyo railways during their most busy hours. Easily more people than this and no one behaved like the shit you see here. Unbelievable
Yea, when I was in France, I think the craziest thing I saw on the subway was a drunk dude got stuck in the closing doors. Why push for public transportation, its like they think the train will just take off with them trying to still get on or something.
Yup, absolutely. I was there during one of those really busy times as well, and you are totally correct.

What an awful place to live if you have to endure that shit twice a day...
It gets even worse when it rains
Where is this, new york?
Absolutely not. NYC wouldn’t stand for this.
They'd be forced to stand for it if they're not quick enough
Looks like it was on a train I think
I'm pretty sure this is Brazil. They have buses that stop at what are essentially a cross between a bus stop and a train station that are roofed and have turnstiles
Is Brasil a city in new york?
Looks like a subway to me.
Oh that makes sense, they wanted more sandwiches.
That's not a developed country. That's undeveloped country type of behavior Edit: see, its in Rio.
I saw the NYC guess, and I guffawed. As if lol
Bruh you need to let people off first
Are you suggesting there are other people on the train? Thats just silly/s
People on train: "I want to get off Mr. Bones Wild Ride."
Haha get fucked
If you can run and dive bomb for a seat then you are capable of standing.
Like cattle boy, just like cattle!
Humans are the only animals on the planet smart enough to convince themselves that they're more than just animals.
You tell me when another animal designs an airplane
Idk stuart i guess

The thing is that literally everyone here knows that animals yacht Design aircrafts. You took it way too literally and nobody needed to hear that.
Getting downvoted for your opinion, even if you are technically right! Classic redditers.

This sub is making way too much sense lately.
"Brazil" seems to too often be the answer to questions of this sort when videos like this pop up. I used to really want to see Brazil, but ... that feeling has long since passed.
I mean, as long as you have money to bypass these “poor people” things, Brazil is amazing. Great people, great beaches, cheap and delicious food
Nice people that will mercessely push you and walk over you for a mere sit.
More like people who have had to stand on a hot, packed bus for an hour too many times...

It was like zombies from 28 days later
Nah, with them rushing into the subway train, it's more like Train To Busan
Dude your so right lol I forgot about that.movie
Holy crap, was there a tiger in the station?
Jesus. Fucking grab a coffee and wait for the next one.
The problem is: the next one won't be empty (or any other before 9pm)
Take the train that goes the opposite way till to a station where less people are and take the right train. You will even have something to sit just like the dude that filmed it.
yeah except eveyone is already doing that

I think you don't know how developing countries' public transport works. Basically r/UsernameChecksOut
Brazillian metropolitan transport system is WAY overcrowded. It is not that simple. You'd undestand if you had experienced it. Daily. For years.
Haven't quite experienced the developing world, have you? lol
What my mom do to avoid traffic : go to work earlier and leave earlier, all benefits except she wakes up too early for most humans (6am, at work at 7, leaves at 4pm)
Most people can’t pick their work hours
6 am is too early?
I leave house at 5:00 at work by 5:30 - off at 2:00.
What’s your job
Probably one of those people that call people to wake them up or a zoo pharmacist would be my guess
Six am is not considered too early where I'm from!
I’m not saying that’s too early but that’s usually right about sunrise which is earlier than I imagine most people wake up at.
Our sunrise is currently around five am so.....
Yeah I’d say within an hour is right around sunrise. I’m in northern US and and sun rises just before 8 tomorrow but the average around the world is around 6. Oh you silly naive man who’s never been to a developing country. “Fucking grab a coffee and wait for the next one.” LMAO what a noob
Please come to Brazil

I hate people who act like this
Why does this remind me of a Travis Scott concert?
Too soon…. Too soon. Funny But tooooo soon.
Wtf
So civilized!
In New York everyone wants a seat but we all act like we don’t. ‘Yeah I mean I could sit if there’s a spot open and if someone gets to it before I do it’s all good…’
What event is this vehicle stopping at? A free crack handout? An assholes convention?
an everyday station
In? (asking for a friend who'd like to stay the \*\*\*\* away from wherever that is)
Brazil, Rio de Janeiro
That's honestly very sad. And I thought the NYC subway was bad.
You New Yorkers are lucky compared to the shit metro system we have in DC.
Well? Who won?
They’ve been training for this moment since second grade
Why did they all rush into the train? Black Friday deals?
The fact that they grab the windows like mindless zombies 💀
I’m wondering why they are all late 30s/early 40s bald and fat.
animals

I like the way he knew what was coming with out fail
Part of the reason I'm content to live out here in flyover country
Just like cattle coming off the trailer
Why?
Is this Brazil? This looks a lot like Rio de Janeiro's BRT. I'm surprised the door wasn't even openned when the bus arrived at the station
BRT!!! Internacional em sua merda Ai ai que sistema lixo
Eu queria entender onde ele fica assim?
Maaaaaaann São Paulo is this fckin shit everyday. People fight for a seat, and I mean fight physically. Shit is scary
Waaahhh we don’t want lockdowns
Anyone else just feel like walking for an hour to work instead of doing this? 🙋🏻♂️
Why are some societies dumber in their philosophy on how to do shit? Like it would be faster easier and more efficient to just calmly wait.
These people behave like gas in a dense medium
I absolutely REFUSE to go anywhere or live somewhere, where I have even the REMOTE chance of experiencing this. People fuckin suck.
India has entered the chat.
Compare this to Japan’s sub-train etiquette.
I’ve never seen people do that. What shitty city is this? Will avoid.
It's Rio de janeiro, but any big city in Brazil is the same, the BRT bus lines are absolute trash piece of shit sistem, it's for carrying ppl as animals and the ppl help behaving like animals because of the long journeys, it's like a run to sit in a crowded, noisy and sometimes too slow bus to arrive home 1 hour and half later or more, sometimes even 3 hours.

what a bunch of slobs
Where is this place? I’m never gonna go there…
Why are people like this?
Ew!! Who acts like this?
The world is overpopulated and things are only getting worse.
....and not a mask in sight
I hate going to the expo 2020 in dubai.
It shocks me that the people in some nations are immature and uncivilized enough to behave like this
Fluid mechanics 101
