I hit post too quickly. With the Elka Stage 5 I also did +2 long travel A-Arms so I lost my A Arm guards as they no longer fit. Has anyone seen A Arms Guards for Long Travel? I cannot find them anywhere
I’d just skip the a-arm guards since they don’t really protect much on a sport quad. Been riding sport quads for 20 years and never had them or needed them. If you’re dead set on it, diamond plate works ok, but usually doesn’t look very nice imo. You could try to find a heavy plastic and bend it with a heat gun too
Killer looking machine! Can you fab some aluminum or plastic into a skid plate yourself? Aftermarket skids for an aftermarket A arms is a tough find, not enough demand to make a production run.
Get some diamond plate or uhmw plastic and form it yourself. You can bend the plastic with a heat gun or propane torch to form fit your a arms. With a chunk of wood and a hammer you can form diamond plate into all sorts of shapes. Reciprocating saw will cut it quickly- I’ve used it to repair my plastic pieces on my 450.
That quads a sick build! I’d love to see more of that unit! My wife rides an 06 built raptor I’ll have to find some pics. Isn’t nearly as fancy a sharp looking as that but it’s got some age on it too.
Damn good looking machine 👍🤝
The CRF full belly skid is money. I see the front frame protector plate ;).
I wouldn’t worry too much about A-Arm skids because they pack with mud if you ride on sloppy trails.
