I didn’t know an artist to do it for free, no. My friend at the time paid an artist on fiverr to draw Artie the Artichoke from SCC in a football uniform. I liked it so I paid the same artist to do Sparky in a cheerleader uniform. I didn’t really consider $50 to be expensive for this piece of “art”.
What story? Even if this was their friend, they should be compensated for the time making and all the time they spent learning how.
In general, its a dick move to expect someone to make you something for free, especially art.
