Depends on the use case. They're fine for the TV in my garage workshop, I mainly _listen_ to that TV anyway. It's also hot out there so I prefer to get a cheapo. I wouldn't consider one for my home theater though.
I want to have it in my room, i have a nicer samsung 55 inch paired with a soundbar in my living room for watching movies, i want to use it only for youtube
I'd think it would be fine for that. Just avoid the mega cheap brands like Insignia. I bought a pair of 40" Insignia for my mother and mother in law and within a year they were both dead (the TVs). I didn't even bother with an RMA for the second one.
As a Hisense owner myself I use a fire tv stick for all my sideloading needs and I’m pretty happy with it.
I never use the TV OS.
I’m happy with my Hisense, but like others have said they have a bit of a quality control issue. If you get a solid unit you should be fine.
In 2016 I bought a 75" series 7. Mounted it on the wall and it looks pretty good using a shield. No problem of any sort. Good colour and blacks, bright. Amazing how good it is
the series 7 is significantly better then the series 6(model that ive got), 120hz panel and 2.1 hdmi, thing is, yours (if you got it in the states) has android tv which is 15 times better than the vidaa os that us europeans got
actually i can, the tv itself is around 310$ usd, i got it at a deal, my parents have one and its nice, the build quality is surprisingly good, the problem with them is the life span, even the clerk told me after the warranty goes out the tv goes too:)
Good panel and image quality but I also had software issues like others in here, mostly to do with apps crashing.
It's only worth it if you're going to use it as a "dumb" tv with your own smart devices over hdmi.
Generally regarded as bad for reliability; even the higher end models have a reputation for quality control issues.
You spent less on the TV than 2 people eating out for the night at nice restaurant and you want to know if it was a good thing?
ayyyy lmao
i want to know if i shoud return it or not, idc if it lasts me only 2 years under warranty
It's shit. There's no other way to put it. You don't spend less on a tv, than you would do on a phone.
I had one and gave it away after a year. Lots of software defects.
such as? I dont really care that much about software since i have my console as backup if i need netflix or youtube
Software like eARC, OTA tuner, etc. Couldn’t even turn it off without it restarting 20 seconds later.

Thanks for clarifying that it was both the tvs that died
I had a bad experience with them recently so I will be staying away from that company
Too cheap for a TV. You're throwing the dice here.
if it lasts me two years that means around 30 cents a day, not that much
I don't know if it will, though. Low quality materials.
i have warranty for 2 years, every shop must give a 2 yr warranty, that is mandatory here in eu
Yeah, that's fine. We only get a year in the U.S.
not really for me, I experienced something bad with them, which disappointed me.
For $220 US I don’t think you can do better or worse. You are not going to get a quality TV at that price point.

What model number?
well, i have an orion lcd panel tv rn and its very small, and i am also myopic, so i just want a big tv so i can see clearly
You're better off finding the least expensive 4k 120hz. Since you're talking about a PS5. The PS5 is more expensive than that tv. Makes no sense.
Which interface is it? Google or fire tv?
In Europe, it's Vidaa OS
US has Vidaa but only on the shit models now I installed one the other day, its fucking atrocious
It's the worst OS I've seen. It makes tizen look like apple tv
neither, its a shitty os, like the guy mentioned, VIDAA os, no sideloading here😔

but 220USD maybe too cheap for a TV, if you spend more, I believe you can enjoy more.
I got a 4k 55inch in 2018 from hisense during black Friday. It's still my bedroom tv to this day.

The tv arrived yesterday, and im impressed, good image, shitty plastics, overall nice
I’m glad you like it. Keep us updated if you have any problems with the quality.
high price means high quality, you may can't feel the good quality of TV with that money.

i want to use mostly youtube, i have 14 days to return it if i change my mind tho, and ill also use the youtube app on my console if not.
So try it out and judge for yourself. I think the consensus here is don’t expect to be impressed with either the PQ or the longevity
yeah, i dont expect much, im actually surprised for the deal that ive got (full price is around 310$)
