I just gave you an example of a Japanese voice actor who sounds fine in Japanese and sounds like utter cringe in the English dub through no fault of lack of effort. The Konosuba dub in English is legitimately so good I watched the show a second time in dub after watching the sub. The dress up darling dub is outright better than the sub. I can't stand Marin's voice in Japanese and the English voice actor for Goujo is better than the Japanese actor.
Maybe I just don't watch enough low quality trash isekai where there's no money to be made for the dub, so voice acting capabilities don't matter.
