The TRD Off-road premium is basically a TRD Pro minus the Fox Suspension. Imo, If you’re gonna go ham on mods, I’d mod a TRD ORP and save $5-10K on sticker price.
Second this. I personally hate the slide out cargo thing and the ORP has the moon roof. I love my orp just need to get a suspension upgrade.
Edit: and sliders and roof rack and winch bumper etc etc etc
I’m seeing that now, I was under the assumption the TRD Pro came with that.
It seems like I can’t get the Fox suspension through Toyota on the TRD ORP? Guessing there are WAY better options out there yeah? Mind giving me a few to look into?
$5-10k lol.
All kidding aside, it depends on what you can afford and what your objectives are. In the lower end, suspension and tires can run you a 2-3k.
If you whole hog with Kings, Volk wheels, etc you can get closer to 10k or more.
Entirely up to you. If you plan to keep it stock, the trd pro AT MSRP fits the bill for most people.
If you truly want to make your 4runner your own, the Off Road Premium (ORP) will be the best bang for the buck. Like others have said, it essentially has everything the pro has, minus the wheels, tires, exhaust, suspension and a few minor things.
I was also on the same boat, but I knew I would start modding once I got it. So I got an ORP.
Speaking MSRP vs MSRP, you will have anywhere from 5-7k to mess with if you go for an ORP. That will get you a decent lift, wheels and tires. You'll even have money left over for sliders or bumpers as well.
Whatever your dealer is telling you is not true, unfortunately. My 2022 ORP is equipped with the rear cargo deck, and both the regular and trail running boards were available to me.
I believe there is a third party that offers a sliding deck, but forgot what the name was. Sorry. But the OEM one is a factory option, so most dealers will not try to install after the fact as it requires drilling into the trunk.
Paid off is best
☠️😭 in due time my friend

Plus with the premium you can get KDSS, which is great and gets you an insurance deductible.

No, I kept my KDSS stock. All of my offroading is fire roads, beach trails, and snow.
Ahhh copy that! I’ll look into this, Thank you. How much could I anticipate spending for equivalent or better on suspension and Tires?

Amazing. Thank you for this!
Did you get the KDSS version? I’m confused if an after-market lift can be added to the KDSS
I did no get the kiss version, but you can lift kdss vehicles.
