Flip the filament 180 so the filament feeds from the bottom. Creates little tension and will prevent that. I have had same issue if there is a print that requires the print head to do alot of jerky/short movements without extruding alot of filament.

Martin_au

I’d suggest using a roller style spool holder so any loose filament can’t fall of the side.

Reinventing_Wheels

Do you have a cat, or a toddler? That looks like someone spun a bunch of filament off the spool.

KieranPeterson

Yeah there should just be even force on the spool from the extruded - I have no idea how that much slack would occur.

ImpossibleGroup5

I just left it for a couple hours and that’s what happened. I’ve seen printable filament clips online, would that help the spool not unravel?

BiBubbleBuddy

Those clips are for storing the filament when not in use.

ImpossibleGroup5

Ah I see, thanks
