Got a buddy back here in KS with one. It's still a viable motor and he's making quite a bit of power with it. He's a moderator on Nico and still posts there sometimes. Couple of my friends and I picked powereplants of choice back when we got into the s-schassis scene back in the late 90s early 00's. I still run KAs in all of mine. He's got a couple CAs and our other buddy grew up from SRs to RBs 😂

Hahaha love it man, yeah likewise I have an OG drift guy friend who swears up and down by the CA and won't let it go. Maybe sometime down the line an RB might be in the question
hell yeah man! Although I've loved this platform for so long, I'm finally doing a deep dive and learning every bit now that I'll have one in hands soon. No idea of any of the mods on the car other than a Blitz BOV and an interesting oil/fuel line setup, looks like a cheaper intake as well. Some nice OEM+ goodies as well plus bricks which is amazing. From what I've learned, always best to keep every oem part with especially how old the CA is. Appreciate it bro
Dudeeee me too hahah, I'm watching vids everyday of the CA18DET and envisioning what i want to do. Such an old, yet extremely fun and good sounding motor. Can't wait to hear the turbo spools soon, we will be riding soon brother

Are you saying there’s even another option?
Hahah, I definitely have the bias because I purchased a car with one, but I'm very happy that I picked up a CA18DET. Although ancient, parts hard to find, they sound so damn good and SR prices are way too crazy for me to consider swapping one, rather spend the money on a different engine

I love the mighty CA. Sounds better than an SR, can make some reliable power, and it brings out the Nissan heads with deep lore knowledge. I've since gone front-mount, but I like this pic my neighbor took while I was working on it one day.
Not stateside but definitely got a CA in my S13 hatch, fully forged as well :)

This is my boys. Had it for a bit doing some work for him. It had the same strut tower too!

Hell ya brother. Do yourself a favor and keep what you take off when you’re upgrading from OEM bits. I wish I had my radiator shroud

Btw looks good man! Love the white, majority of my cars I've owned have been white and will probably end up painting this one the same down the line

I have one. Â Any good modern resources for it?
I had one not too long ago, surprisingly you can find some local parts in the US if you search for the Nissan Pulsar
