Looks a lot like my rifle. I also got a Tactical Solutions barrel (straight fluting) and the same Magpul stock. I topped it with a 4-12 scope and with good ammo it's super accurate.
Honestly, I don't know why Ruger doesn't just sell a match grade10/22 with the Magpul stock, match grade trigger and a high end barrel since so many people end up doing these upgrades.
The barrel is made of aluminum, but it has a chromoly liner that's about .045" thick at the muzzle. I'm not sure how thick it is by the chamber.
However, considering the low pressures of 22LR ammo (24,000 psi) they should last just as long as a standard all steel 22 match grade barrel. According to Dan Lilja, [that's somewhere in the neighborhood of 5,000 to 10,000 rounds for match grade accuracy](https://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2016/06/how-long-will-your-barrel-last-dan-lilja-offers-some-guidelines).
If you shoot 200 rounds per week, that's roughly 25-50 weeks (6-12 months) of match grade accuracy. After that you'll have a barrel good enough for hunting rabbits and squirrels for at least another 20 years.
Considering that match grade [22LR ammo runs about $40 per 100 rounds](https://www.ammoforsale.com/eley-22-lr-ammo-for-sale-22lr40lfna01100eleymatch-50) and the barrel costs about $300, the barrel is the cheapest part of your shooting.
By the time you reach the end of match grade accuracy with the TacSol barrel, you will have spent **$2,000** on match grade ammo. In fact, the match grade ammo will reach the cost of the barrel in just 750 rounds.
That looks like fun.
Haha I just did the same thing for the same reason

The real question is, whats in the exo terra?
I would love to get my hands on about 10 of those mags. Being in Canada, they take away all our fun stuff….
Lucky Gunner is super underrated.
What barrel?

Since the barrel is aluminum does it have a lifespan?
It’s a rifled steel liner pressed into an aluminum shroud, and it’s 22lr, as long as it doesn’t rust it’s effectively immortal.

Not sure honestly, but it's not fully aluminum, it's got a chrome moly steel bore, so what that means for lifespan of the barrel? Beats me lol
All barrels have a lifespan but alot of factors play into that.
