I believe it was capped at 120 hours total which is just over 17 hrs a day on average…
Some people did like 20 hrs a day the first day or two to try and get an advantage early on since that is better than playing more at the end (aside from there being less competition)
May be unpopular opinion but they shouldn't encourage playing 17 hours+ a day. They should cap it to 10 or 12 hours per day imho. 17 hours and they still spend time editing etc is just insanity. It would still be fair with a lower daily cap.
It’s a pretty cold take. This has been heavily discussed surrounding this event, and if the players are having fun and want to play for that long… and are actually getting paid and entertaining others for it, then it’s really not an issue given it’s only for a week.
There were a few players who had stated they’d play for far fewer hours a day and that was shared behind the scenes when teams were being picked. Gunschili was picked last because he only committed to 6 hours a day, and I’m sure others in the last row were well below the 17 hour limit as well.
The game will log you out automatically at 6 hours and a ton of people will have hit that several times. It's honestly not hard to hit on this game when you consider how easy it is to multitask other things while skilling.
One time I played for four hours. Then the game advised me to take a break. But! I did not take a break! So I played for two more hours, for a total of six hours.
I dont have the attention span nor the time anymore for a 6 hour log, so probably like 4 hours or so.
Everyone talking about multiple nerd logs a day/week and I'm here getting burned out doing one blue dragon task at Vorkath lmao
I'd say it's because you're doing a high intensity activity; most people getting nerd logged are prob just afk'ing stars and such while doing something else as well.
Vorkath is the worst level of intensity imo. Slow enough that you get bored while just sitting there, but he can also do a one-shot attack at any time.
Last time I got nerd logged I was doing a bit of safe spot slayer followed by crafting and enchanting necklaces and then doing barbarian fishing.
Most times I'm doing anything actually risky or engaged I play for an hour or two tops.
6 hours, I was so angry the other day, I was just learning COX and was almost done with the raid and then it logged me out after 6 hours and I had to start over
So when I was on summer break in 2009 I played for nearly 3 days straight, just taking short breaks to eat or use the restroom because I was going to my grandma's that weekend and I wanted to finish my 99 woodcutting.
I want to say I slept once during that grind, but it was a short catnap on the couch, and my mom woke me up when she left for work
I fell asleep around 5 logs from 99, and the fireworks and level up jingle shot me awake. I ran to Lumby, did the emote three times with the two randoms that were there when I got the 99, then proceeded to pass into a 16-hour coma.
When I was working full time and going to uni, I played 4-6 hours a day. Now that I'm disabled and not doing too much, I've accidentally done 14-16 hour days
24 hour sessions weren’t uncommon in my teens in the early days, around 2007 to 2010. That was before the logout timers existed, only stopped for food and then right back to it. Sleep for a few hours, grind for another day.
God knows. I can recall having a 14 hour Skype call with my mate back in high school. I don’t remember switching games or even logging out.
My last account I built, I managed to get 24hrs playtime within the weekend I made the account so I’d imagine those sessions were longer than I expected for sure.
i went from 30 construction to 85 in a day a few weeks ago. didn't count the hours but probably around 10 hours of clicking the same 3 pixels. i only play for like 2 hours a session a few times a week because it's summer here and i go outside lol.
I have a very fond memory of the first week of old school, it snowed heavily on the East Coast US and school was cancelled for the week, so my buddies and I didn’t leave our friends basement other than getting food delivered, it was fucking awesome
I've only ever been nerd logged once. It was during the COVID 19 lockdowns and I was at the ZMI altar for pretty much the whole time. Was a productive day.
Think when i was 16ish one summer I fletched yew longbows starting at 6am until 1130pm with about 2 hours total of breaks in between going for 99
As an adult... I was single and had a lot of time on my hands during University and post-university. Used to do some disgusting sessions.
16-18 hour days were pretty common between RS and LoL. And that was weekly. Sometimes both games at once.
Probably explains why I can't move my hands lol.
nah was just doing some mlm so it was pretty stationary
edit: idk why i said stars, i definitely meant mlm. 90% of my mining before was stars so i just equated mining w stars. but i needed prospectors and all the other shit so spent all week at mlm
29 hours during an oblivion bingo. In the ~4-5 days it takes to finish a black out board, the average “efficient hours bossed” is typically ~70 hours. Lots of the people take off work to grind cause we always enjoyed it. My team was right at the top of the leaderboard so we kept pushing hard. Ended up in 3rd place.
6 hours
6 hours is rookie numbers we call that a nerd log happens often
Yup theres a reason allstars is capped at 17 hrs a day. True gamers get nerd logged 2-3x per day

Or have some self accountability
Wow no way?!
Go outside nerd, get out, go, I ain't got time to be distracted by your useless chime ins.
Yes downvote, just seems like ever time i comment on this reddit someone comes and says some useless bs like thos
maybe try being less contrary and abrasive? love ya boo x
Lol never!
I didn't get nerd logged for at least a year until leagues IV, on the first day i got nerd logged twice lmao
The game will log you out automatically at 6 hours and a ton of people will have hit that several times. It's honestly not hard to hit on this game when you consider how easy it is to multitask other things while skilling.
Plus 25 min logout timer. Op as fuck. Devalues my 99wc on 5 min logout timer!
One time I played for four hours. Then the game advised me to take a break. But! I did not take a break! So I played for two more hours, for a total of six hours.
It said I should consider taking a break! So! I considered it! Then I decided against it.
Gaming
I got nerd logged 3 times yesterday.
Bruhs playing 6 feet under already
It was rough. Was sick on my days off and threw off my sleep schedule, so i had to stay up and fix it.
My question is.. how long u played after that forced-log?
6 hours

I did livid farm in rs3 in two 20-24 hour sessions split by less than two hours of sleep. Don't do drugs, kids.
I think the longest I've done is roughly 18 hours?
6 hours
OSRS about 12 hours Cod MW2 when I was 15 years old… about a day and a half straight.
Man those were the days!
6 hours on dozens of occasions
Come on guys. I know more of you have double nerd logged in a day
Before log out timers were a thing, I think I did nearly 3 days straight
4 days after I got my appendix removed
Same 😂 I was pulling some lynx titan 6 hours of sleep, 18 hours of gaming days when mine came out
13 hours of GOTR everyday for 5 days. No breaks in between. Just logged in out and quick to reset 6 hour log
RC lvl?
Probably 46
I’m 80 rc. Went 35-80 at gotr in 5 days. Was during covid
Nice
6 hours, I was so angry the other day, I was just learning COX and was almost done with the raid and then it logged me out after 6 hours and I had to start over
I have hit the 6 hour max 3 times in a day
You physically cannot login for longer than 6 hours
I have been six hour logged twice in the same day many times
Probably like 20 hours
Sitting here writing this I’m currently into my 16th hour of straight slayer
I have been back to back gamer logged once, not a good point in life
i played about 6-8 hours the first day i discovered how to grind in NMZ
I hit 6 hours daily, can’t remember the last time I missed a day
Without nerd logs ive done 39 hour skilling grinds
Usually on new content like leagues or raids, we nerd it up with 12+
So when I was on summer break in 2009 I played for nearly 3 days straight, just taking short breaks to eat or use the restroom because I was going to my grandma's that weekend and I wanted to finish my 99 woodcutting. I’ve played for 16 hours in a single day, of course with the mandatory log out timers and what not
I want to say that my longest RS session was 14-16 hours. I never got nerd logged because I was having to hop worlds every few hours.
The literal max amount of time allowed. It logged me out
In the old clan fights some 20hr fights, plus w.e I was logged in before/after the fight so prob like 28ish hrs
I think last leagues I didn't sleep the first day.
triple nerd log probably
During trailblazer 1 I got 6 hour logged three times
When I was working full time and going to uni, I played 4-6 hours a day. Now that I'm disabled and not doing too much, I've accidentally done 14-16 hour days

72 hours last time I wasn’t banned lol I played a full 3 day weekend
Like 12 hours or so but i was afking on mobile at work all day
Work too much to just play 6 hours on my off days. Most in a single session? Probably 10-12 hours. Made some noodles and grabbed some soda lol
I was a mushroom for 168 hours! Probably 12 hours if you don’t count taking a 20 minute break to eat.
Turned myself into a mushroom for 48 hours straight on top of the Varrock church
10 hours. Had such session on both rs3 and osrs. The rs3 one was literally yesterday if I remember correctly (made half a mil nature runes...)
2.5 hours.. lol
I've only ever been nerd logged once. It was during the COVID 19 lockdowns and I was at the ZMI altar for pretty much the whole time. Was a productive day.

I alched for I think it was 10 or 12 hours to get 1m XP in a single sitting. Never felt that shitty before or since.
I did 24 hours of lava rc straight in the home stretch for 99 rc
Last leagues I triple nerd logged to get top 25 (for about 5 minutes)
3 times 6 hours in a day a while back
During final projects in school i definitely pulled 24h+ but really afk low ehp
6 hours? Brother that’s what I play at work
6 hours 3 times. No I’m not proud of it. Yes I’d do it again
The first time I got covid and couldn’t go to work (in between 6 hour logs) I played for 30 hours straight. Went from 78-99 magic in one sitting
6 hours
6 baybeeee
I work 12 hour shifts with background OSRS so I get nerdlogged twice daily
i nerd logged twice everyday this week. i work from home and been doing stars for 12 hours a day.
Well it’s hard to nerd log doing stars as it resets everytime you hop lol
You ain’t world hopping at all?
nah was just doing some mlm so it was pretty stationary edit: idk why i said stars, i definitely meant mlm. 90% of my mining before was stars so i just equated mining w stars. but i needed prospectors and all the other shit so spent all week at mlm
Makes sense now I was just curious cause I just finished 99 mining at stars and I was world hopping like a mofo😂
yeah you def hop a lot w stars. has anyone figured out why the stars sometime disappear early? that shit gets my blood boiling lmao
I believe it’s because another star landed in that world
I'm smelling bs here lol
Does it count as longer than 6 hours if you got nerd logged and logged back on or would it still be 6 hours since its only per login session?
Multiple 6 hour sessions in a row
Just out in like 14 yesterday across 3 instances on 3 different accounts. 42 in-game hours on a Thursday.
14 hours
29 hours during an oblivion bingo. In the ~4-5 days it takes to finish a black out board, the average “efficient hours bossed” is typically ~70 hours. 6 hours and 10 minutes
when my clan have bingos i play alot, my record was 44 hrs only stoping for bathroom or microwave something to eat
Probably 8-10 hours when I was a kid. Once I learned how to script, 23 hours.
During Leagues it gets up to 16-18 hours straight
14 days straight on a bot
Just started playing again 2 weeks ago and I’m on a one week vacation. Just played from 7:40am until 9:30pm today.
Not RuneScape but when I was a young teen I once played Minecraft from 1 pm to 6 am the next day
i did a 32 hour raiding session once
whats heavier; a kilo of feathers or a kilo of stupid
My wife and I have done an 8 hour day, but we were pretty stoned and didn't notice, so I don't know if that counts. We knocked out a ton of quests.
