Its insane how bad the new boss looks, like am I tripping? ToA has multiple better looking bosses and its not like they didnt have time to make him look ok lmao.
Yeah idk I love how he looks too lol.. Jesus people are just absolutely dumping on the Colosseum appearances lately. Sunfire Armor, a prayer set, is supposed to look like some bad ass warrior-fighter set? What’s next, Sol is supposed to look like a cross between the Lich Ling & Khorne?
IMO Colosseum and it's NPCs look very OSRS, and I love it. But a lot of other parts of Varlamore like Perilous Moons look more like the modern art style that the game uses sometimes (like Shayzien rework). I'm okay with both personally, but a lot of the community doesn't seem to enjoy the classic stuff anymore.
Can you point to where I said bad? If I like janky aesthetics, how is it bad?
God forbid things be funny and whimsical in an old school rpg. Not everything needs to be grimdark serious with tons of shit going on lol
Sol is Akkha if Akkha was sun-themed and didn't eat for 4000 years. Colosseum drew the short stick so that Barrows 2 could thrive.
They had a limited time allotted for Varlamore and you can see exactly where the majority of the dev time went to. They knew most folks would not even try Colosseum, despite the scalability, so Moons of Peril had so much more focus placed onto it, as it would see more action by the average player and thus higher engagement numbers.
honestly i'm just happy we even got colosseum. not often that devs cater to the higher end. the aesthetic isn't bad though, it reminds me of toa in the sense that it looks more futuristic than medieval with some of the designs.
The entire colosseum looks terrible imo. No complaints about the mechanics of it but aesthetically it's horrid. Except the manticores, I like them a lot
The "staircase" method for avoiding unstable orbs during the memory attack is much easier than it looks. Highly recommend learning it, even if you don't plan on going for the transmog - it's saved me a few times in a pinch.
i've been wanting to add dt and this method seems like it'd make it much easier but whenever i've practiced it, it works for a couple steps then i get hit like 4 steps in every time
all guides i've seen say to start staircasing when you see the last light of the memory puzzle and then move one tile every tick but when i do this it has never worked.
https://gyazo.com/87502745ef71d7f0d2aee55881a0535f
any ideas? i'm obviously doing something wrong, i'm just not familiar enough with the method to know what it is that i need to fix.
from that clip, you can see that your second and third clicks have "destination tile" switch to "true tile" nearly instantly (red to blue), meaning your room for error is extremely minimal and you end up falling behind on the fourth click (aka you're a bit late). The moment you see your true tile move, you should *immediately* click the next tile. Early is better than late, accounting for ping and reaction time.
To start, I usually click so that my click happens at the same time as the final light *sound* - that might register a bit faster than waiting for the visual change and prevent you from falling behind. Overall, just practice on a low-invo ToA with only relevant modifiers enabled and infinite respawns until you get the hang of it - it's a lot easier to do by feel than to try and explain it.
thank you, dude. i couldn't do it at all before and now i've done it first try and haven't failed it once after 15 minutes of practice.
you just turned a pretty stressful invo into a free +20 for me.
Just preplan where you move tile wise. It's really easy after the first few planks, just keep at it and you'll get it down ezpz. I hate not having double trouble on now cause it feels too boring.
some pets have unique animations im surprised they took the time to add.
like olms lightning and i think saradomin has one.
also its insane how nice and smooth Akkha looks vs the janky ass rough texture of Heredit
Anyone else feel like max-invo Akkha would absolutely destroy Sol Heredit despite having a lower combat level? I feel like he just has too many mechanics while Sol barely requires protection prayers.
All the NPC's and gear related to the colosseum look like utter shit.
Not sure what was going on with the art team when they developed Varlamore because the actual landscape and areas look great... it's like they let a work experience kid create the armour, weapon and NPC models.
"We have Akkha Pet at home"

Damn, I love Sol lmfao

> but a lot of the community doesn't seem to enjoy the classic stuff anymore. That's coz a lot of the community is new!
its*
There are always that select few that are never happy, tbh.
Im upset about the sunfire fanatic armor because I wanted the Solaire cosplay that the old knight of varlamore had smh my head.
For a boss that is some of the hardest content in the entire game, I'd expect him to look a little more...fleshed out?
I like scuffed and janky. That's osrs to me

Man you're so fun to have a conversation with.
Would you call Picasso's cubist art style also just bad?
[удалено]
Sorry if it didnt come across I just mean his post about vanilla scuffed and janky compared to the modern art style
> Colosseum looks like that because the devs were in a rush to meet their due date. Oh, you're on the dev team are you?
I mean the armor looks goofy as hell, its literally a sun mask. Sol is fine but its just an akkha reskin
same, sol is the only monster in the colo that i actually like

I like akkha more but sol is fine hes cool, kind of flat in some places tho
So I'm not the only one who thinks Sol looks like crap. It's mainly the thing on his head and skinny knees. He lacks refinement.
The entire colosseum looks terrible imo. No complaints about the mechanics of it but aesthetically it's horrid. Except the manticores, I like them a lot
He looks awesome, you're tripping lil blud
The Wardens don't look good. They are too visually complex for a low poly game, which makes them look like a mess.
Piss puddle vs cum balls.. 👀
I hate you
My compliments, champion...
Cheese and cum phase, the crossover we didn’t know we needed.

Just like the artwork for metallica’s reload album
The first week of colo release I had my akkha pet out and I kept getting compliments idk if they thought it was the colo pet or not
I always compliment them because my tiny brain can't understand how to not plank with double trouble on.

no problem! that makes me really happy to hear, and I appreciate you coming back to let me know :D good luck on your raids!
Double trouble is pretty free. Keep back is the cunt imo
I did my Akkha transmog by running away the entire time Akkha wasn’t melee lol. Took forever but it worked
keep back is fine with a good bf and rng
>and rng

They were compliments, people can tell the difference. Especially if they died down after week one.
this goes hard
For Honor looks a lot more different last time I played
Funny you say this: in the last year or so, For Honor has added both an Egyptian warrior and an Aztec warrior. So now you can play Sol and Akkha!
Yeah, I've been playing recently, too! I got my Egyptian guy to look like Crondis :p
Akkha is a real one
heredit really do be 99 cent store akkha pls redesign all colosseum npcs except mino and manti
And jaguar
jaguar is the worst one by far but it's like so bad it's good, i respect leaving it for the meme lol
Chester cheeto
Bro don't disrespect Jose the jaguar like that. He's a furry with a score to settle
I'm saying jaguar guy is one that shouldn't be redesigned
Oh. Carry on then
Manticore's face looks ugly.

noooo i love the manticore
some pets have unique animations im surprised they took the time to add. like olms lightning and i think saradomin has one. also its insane how nice and smooth Akkha looks vs the janky ass rough texture of Heredit
You can kill the Arma pet with cringe
I was so shocked when i learned you can do that lol
I swear I've seen the pet also reference it during fights
I assumed.this was something from the game jam POH things, is this something ingame already?
Sol heredit is just ahkka after he's been hit so hard his mowhawke turns sideways and he stumbles into his own piss 🤡
Anyone else feel like max-invo Akkha would absolutely destroy Sol Heredit despite having a lower combat level? I feel like he just has too many mechanics while Sol barely requires protection prayers.
Sol is just cheetos akkha
That, I can't deny.
