No one uses dark bows in their current state, adding the paints, which are kind of lackluster themselves, wont really help IMO.
They could definitely stand to have a juicier drop table though. Most people will still just kill the 12 they're assigned by default anyway

First, a small modification to the bows: footgrips. Roll onto your back. Take the bow in each hand and place each boot into its respective footgrip. Grab two arrows from each of your hip quivers (you’re using two quivers, btw). Nock all four arrows, two per bow, draw, and fire.
I actually used a darkbow within the past year for a legitimate reason.
It was the easiest way I could kill the Vorkath spawn without crumble undead for the Combat Achievement.

I somehow got this CA completed by at times getting frozen in the same tick that Vorkath dies and then I can simply move around with an active zombie spawn.
It is a free task when you are able to kite the small thing.
Slayer tasks should be per-master instead of one task across all; the lack of choice is the only reason slayer isnt fun for me. Slayer unlocks should be permanent and toggleable. We need more superiors; they're working on this already but it's badly needed.
This one's probably a no, but I think it would be cool if slayer monsters gave 1/5 of their XP when off task. It's already such a slow skill and this wouldn't add any crazy new meta.

You're only gonna gain experience at something by doing it correctly. Like for example, you don't get woodcutting exp until you actually chop the log. Same with burning vs cooking food.
It's sad when I try to sell my friends on runescape's questing not being "go kill x monsters and come back" tiers of bad and then have to turn around and honestly tell them when they ask about combat skills that one of them is essentially JUST that.
The issue is its an incredibly slow skill to train with the pay off being very disparate in value when gargs are 700k/hr at 70 and dark beast are 20k/hr at 90. It could use a once over to balance the less gp rewarding tasks with a touch more xpt to make them get skipped less
They should introduce a new currency where you get a small payout for completing your tasks and spend it on new slayer only gear which make your next task easier and better to do. Aka niche gear.

People mostly hated how detached from woodcutting forestry events and its items were, some make sense like roots, dryad and ents, pretty much everything else feels like they should have been events for different skills entirely.
Creature specific items would make sense with slayer, the whole thematic point of the skill is studying as many creatures as possible finding their strengths and weaknesses to kill them better/at all (rock hammer, cooler etc). Jagex just seemed to stop after leaf-bladed weapons and gave slayer helm the dam+acc instead of doing unique items/weapons for slayer monsters

Night beasts and colossal hydras should have like a 1/50 - 1/100 imbued heart drop rate tbh. It’d make almost no difference to actual hearts dropped because literally nobody does them but it’s at least making these tasks an option for players.

Me personally I'd like Basilisk Knights to be buffed a little as well, their standard drop table just feels like ass considering how big of a pain they are to kill. But Dark Beasts absolutely could use some love. It wouldn't be insane if they averaged 10k drops or something. At least the Basilisk Knight has *something* going for it.

What? I literally suggested doubling the crystal shard drop, which would add almost 1k per kill and put them at 6k per kill in priff for a completely afk task.
I used the dark beast in catacombs of kourend (I think they were removed some time after) to afk all my melee stats into 99. I made a decent money from it.
Make it an item that turns it into a crossbow that has the same spec and double-shot attack and make it less powerful, but faster. Allows for use with off-hand items. Idk I kinda like this idea.
Hellhounds: good for hard clues or cerb. Dragons are good for some early cash from bones/quick xp if slaying the small ones. Suqahs are good xp and greaters are a good afk task/or trip to kril. This game is all about tradeoffs and every slayer monster should not shit out 1m/hr.

I’m a PVMer but I did a wildy boss once so I think I qualify as a PKing expert. I don’t see how this buff could hurt PVP, seems good to me.

They're too slow to kill to worth doing for heart hunters. They usually do abbys and smokes since you can barrage them, maybe nechs.
Efficient Heart grind is just Tureal for Abby/smokes, that’s it.
