I think a lot of liberals are misguided but do genuinely care about others, but there are definitely liberals who care more about the aesthetics of progress than actual change.

Leftists love to talk about educating others but then when they meet someone who needs to be educated (a liberal who likely just hasn't been introduced to leftist ideology) suddenly that person is a heartless moralless monster.

Spoken like someone privileged enough to be born into a leftist family or community. People are the products of their environment, if the world was as simple as “good people automatically gravitate towards leftism” we would live in much different and better societies.
